SNAKE is a collection of multi media works that narrate the process of becoming via unbecoming in an effort to reclaim, embody, transform and make peace with what has been lost.

housed in a vacant storefront in downtown rockland, maine, The collaborative show existed for one night only. it combined work by three artists who each drew their own meaning from the serpentine motif, which cross-culturally represents transformation, death, birth, re-birth and the cyclical nature of life.

Clio Berta is an interdisciplinary artist and composer. For the past two years she has been painting, animating, photographing, writing about and dancing with snakes in an effort to transform her experience of heartbreak into healing.

Hannah Berta is a multi media fiber artist who studies the cycles, patterns and symbolism of the natural world to visually construct and compose personal narratives.

Rachel Alexandrou is an interdisciplinary artist who uses her education in plant science and collaborative practice to create experiential work about food, flora and human relationships to the natural landscape.
