Clio Berta (b. 1995) is an artist, composer and event producer currently living and working in Midcoast Maine.
She combines movement, material, paint, projected video and music to construct otherworldly realms that blur the line between magic and reality. These realms exist as nature-based performance pieces, collaborative musical showcases, large-scale installations and intimate objects.
She has directed and produced collaborative events in public parks, galleries, vacant storefronts and her own backyard. She has composed scores for a diverse range of short films, published and merchandised an oracle card deck and thrown a series of multi sensory raves.
Over the last few years, Clio has co-founded Wishbone Coffee, a coffee pop up business, and written, produced and toured Wild Cherry Doubler, an immersive musical project. She is currently working as the Operations Manager for Points North Institute, home of the Camden International Film Festival, and is touring her most recent musical project, Baby Fever.
Clio graduated in 2017 from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in Interrelated Media, where she studied abroad at Burren College of Art and participated in selected coursework at Berklee College of Music. She has been a Resident Artist at Studio Kura in Itoshima, Japan, the Stillness Project in Jefferson, Maine and Fish Factory in Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland.
